Blazaizak.Art
Anyone who has the pleasure of seeing Markus Blazaizak in action will no longer need any descriptions of him.
He lives art with every fiber of his being because he cannot hear. His world is silent and so alive that we do not need ears or words to see what he expresses with his works.
When walking through his gallery, the visitor gets the impression that there must be several artists involved. Not only are the materials and techniques he uses incredibly diverse, but so is his way of expressing himself. Anyone who thinks they can recognize him from his paintings has never been to an exhibition.
Markus Blazaizak was born in 1968 as a hearing boy and became deaf in a tragic accident. The voices of his parents and the laughter of his friends were gone forever. He himself says: “The accident took something away from me, that was bad for me as a child. But not being able to hear gave me art, a passion that I cannot explain to anyone. I don't need my ears for that.”
And while Markus explains this to us, his hands whirl through the air and his deep dark eyes begin to glow as he immerses himself in his world. Each new work is described beforehand in a huge gesture room. He steps into his own visual world and experiences a journey, and if you are allowed to be there, he takes you along on his journey.
The goal?
We don't know... Let's wait and see.
