The Flensburg native lives with her husband, three children and a dog in the idyllic town of Tarp. Here she works as a sign language interpreter and writes crime novels to relax.

For her series "Soko Deluxe" she created a team of investigators around Germany's first deaf detective who solves every case despite disabilities.
